    Your experience begins at the only operating canning factory, where you can observe the artisanal production process and taste high-quality preserves. Then, visit the Portimão Municipal Market, where fresh fish arrives directly from the harbour, accompanied by a guide who explains the different species. Here, you can also explore fresh vegetables and traditional sweets.
    Next, explore the Portimão Museum, showcasing the history of the canning industry with timeless displays of tools and equipment.
    This route also offers a glimpse into traditional shopping practices: follow the local path where residents once collected their goods, carrying them in a beautiful, handwoven basket (Alcofa), honouring the region’s time-honoured traditions.
