One of the most famous and scenic coastal hiking trails in the Algarve

The trail runs along dramatic limestone cliffs between Praia da Marinha and Praia do Carvalho, offering spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Algarve’s iconic golden cliffs and rock formations. It’s called the “hanging valleys” because of the way the valleys appear to be suspended between the clifftops and the sea below.
