Following the routes of fishermen and researchers, we enhance the chances of witnessing more wildlife and unique National Geographic-like moments, such as dolphins, whales and seabirds feeding all together.

Expect an educational and meaningful 3-hour adventure, in a relaxed, fun and family-feel atmosphere led by the knowledgeable diver and captain Pedro and the passionate biologist Ana.
The friendly, family-run operation emphasises safety, inclusion and marine conservation while offering multilingual commentary on the species and their behaviour and focus on low-impact, ethical encounters that prioritise animal welfare and environmental protection.

  • This tour takes place in a natural, unpredictable environment, and conditions can change quickly. The captain reserves full authority to modify the route, duration, reschedule or cancel the tour if conditions require.
  • Dolphins and whales are wild animals that roam freely in the Atlantic Ocean. While sightings occur year-round and we have a 98% sighting success rate, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
  • Cetaceans are protected by Portuguese law — feeding, touching, calling, or swimming with the animals is strictly prohibited.

  • Safety Recomendations:
    • Crew instructions must be followed at all times.
    • Personal belongings are the sole responsibility of the client. Capitão Nemo is not liable for loss or damage to personal items.
    • Any intentional damage to life jackets, rain jackets, the vessel, staff, or third parties will be charged to the responsible customer
    • By participating, customers authorize the use of photos and videos taken during the tour – if you object please inform the crew in advance or during check-in.
    • Smoking and glass containers are prohibited onboard.

    • Sunglasses – protection from the sun and wind
    • Comfortable clothing and footwear – suitable for sea conditions and adjusted to season
    • Warm layer or jacket – temperatures offshore can be significantly cooler, even in summer
    • Hat or cap – sun protection in summer and extra warmth in winter
    • Beanie or scarf — to protect your ears from wind
    • Sun protection – sunscreen and lip balm
    • Camera or smartphone — to capture the moment
    • Waterproof bag or case for electronic devices (we are not responsible for damage)
    • Water and light snacks (no glass containers allowed)
    • Binoculars (optional) for wildlife spotting
    • Seasickness medication if you’re prone to motion sickness

    • Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
    • This tour takes place at open sea and conditions can change quicky — navigation may involve motion, uneven surfaces, and sudden movements. • Please get in touch if you have any health conditions or special requirements.

  • Extra info: We are Pet Friendly – If you want to bring your furry friend, please get in touch before booking. A fee may apply depending on the size of the dog and subject to availability.
    Note: Our mascot, Pipoca, comes on board on most tours. Customers with allergies, phobias, or contraindications to dogs must get in touch before completing the booking.
